Discover what has been truly holding you back
—partly without even being aware!
I use a research-based framework to help you identify and overcome self-sabotage by addressing negative mental, emotional and behavioral habits, that limit your potential, growth and happiness. This approach combines principles from positive psychology, neuroscience, and cognitive behavioral therapy to provide practical, actionable tools for change.
We all experience self-sabotage through various patterns that affect our wellbeing, our work, and our relationships. By recognizing these patterns, you can shift from a cycle of self-sabotage to a place of empowerment and progress.
Read through the list and see which of these resonate with you!
Judging
Judging is all about judging and criticizing yourself, others, or your circumstances in an unhealthy way. It strengthens your other self-sabotaging patterns that get in your way and causes much of your distress.
Avoiding
You avoid what's unpleasant or uncomfortable to escape discomfort, comforting yourself by procrastinating and distracting yourself for temporary relief.
Over-Achieving
You are overly focused on achievement and success, often neglecting emotions and personal relationships.
People Pleasing
You seek acceptance and love by trying to please others, often at the expense of personal needs.
Perfectionism
You obsessively focus on perfection and organization, becoming overly critical when things aren’t “just right.”
Excessive Controlling
You want to excessively control everything and fear losing control, leading to anxiety and tension.
Being Restless
You constantly seek new stimuli or activities, feeling bored or impatient without them.
Over Rationalizing
You're overly logical, focusing on intellect and facts at the expense of emotions and relationships.
Being Over-Anxious
You're constantly anxious about potential dangers, seeing life as risky or precarious.
Victim Mentality
You seek attention by highlighting your own suffering and can feel helpless.
Did you just recognize yourself in some of these patterns?
You weren’t born with them and it's not your fault you developed them! You adopted them as a child, serving as self-protection mechanisms to help you navigate real and perceived threats to your physical and emotional survival, but now they get in your way.
Let’s be honest, how many times have you tried to change your behavior and ended up back where you started?
Just trying to change your behavior (symptoms) doesn't work. Your saboteurs are not just random behaviors; they are mental, emotional, and behavioral patterns rooted in limiting beliefs and fears.
You have the power to break free - once you treat the root cause, the limiting beliefs and fears driving these patterns. The tricky part is- most of your limiting beliefs are subconscious. As a coach with expertise in overcoming these patterns, I’ll help you break through them and create lasting change in your life. Book a discovery call with me today, and let’s get started.
